Our Impact
Since its founding in 2018, Little Saps has planted thousands of trees! We’re so excited that our gift trees are bringing joy to families as well as helping the planet by providing habitat for wildlife, absorbing carbon dioxide, and producing oxygen for us to breathe!
But in addition to planting our own trees, every purchase of a Little Sap gift tree also benefits organizations that we support. Organizations that align with our mission and hope for the world, both in our local area, in our nation, and across the world. This includes trees (of course!) and conservation, but also farmers, women, and entrepreneurship.
Read below to learn more about some of the organizations we support.
The Blue Ridge Conservancy is a local organization that partners with landowners and local communities to permanently protect natural resources with agricultural, cultural, recreational, ecological and scenic value in northwest North Carolina. BRC also expands public access and recreational opportunities in our beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. So far, BRC has protected 22,000 acres and created multiple state natural areas. Learn more.
We wanted to expand our tree planting reach and support other initiatives related to trees, so we also support The Arbor Day Foundation. The Arbor Day Foundation has been inspiring people to plant, nurture, and celebrate trees since 1972. It is the largest member nonprofit organization dedicated to planting trees. Through multiple programs and initiatives, the Arbor Day Foundation helps plant trees in the US and across the world and educates people about the importance of conservation. Learn more.
